Certification Course on International Humanitarian Law

The 6-day certification course in International Humanitarian Law (IHL) provides participants with a foundation in the law of armed conflict and its specific application in African contexts. Through interactive case studies and expert presentations, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to analyze conflicts in Africa. Topics will include: IHL foundations, human rights law in armed conflict, refugee and displacement law, international criminal law, use of force in law enforcement, and more.

Advanced Certification Course on Humanitarian Action in Africa

Tailored for practitioners with at least two years of experience, the six-day advanced certification course, ‘Humanitarian Action in Africa,’ provides participants with the tools to navigate the complexities of armed conflict in Africa. Through interactive sessions and expert presentations, participants will master the skills to approach modern humanitarian challenges, ensuring the protection of civilians and adherence to international legal frameworks.
